AKOTEC bus drives through Angermünde

It is green, stands out, and promotes climate-friendly heating: the newly printed AKOTEC city bus. The Angermünde-based company for solar thermal collectors has recently been advertising its high-quality vacuum tube collectors on a city bus operated by the Uckermärkische Verkehrsbetriebe.

Since the end of May, the green bus has been traveling from one street to the next – the distinctive green AKOTEC design is hard to miss on the streets of Angermünde and the surrounding area.

On June 9th, the official handover of the bus took place at the AKOTEC production site in Angermünde. This project was made possible in collaboration with the Uckermärkische Verkehrsbetriebe and the agency Verkehrsmedien Nord Ost.

The goal of the outdoor advertising campaign is to increase AKOTEC’s visibility in the region and thus raise awareness among highly sought-after skilled professionals.

AKOTEC has expanded rapidly in recent years and currently employs around 30 people. The Angermünde-based solar company is on a successful trajectory and is always looking for qualified personnel. “Bus advertising has proven to be highly effective and is emotionally perceived by the target audience. Thus, it is an ideal advertising platform for our regional target group,” says Pauline Schilke, Marketing and Public Relations Officer at AKOTEC.

For a total of three years, the green vehicle will spread its advertising message through the streets of the Uckermark region. The manufacturer of full-vacuum tube collectors produces 3,500 standard collectors and 450 MEGA collectors annually at its Angermünde location. From the process to the machinery and the finished product, the company develops everything independently.
