The Angermünde-based company AKOTEC is on a successful path. Once again, the solar collector manufacturer secured a contract for a large-scale project using their specially designed, innovative MEGA collectors. The powerful collectors are intended for a truck wash facility in Regensburg.
On October 18, the delivery of eight MEGA collector segments for a truck wash in Regensburg took place at the AKOTEC production site in Angermünde. With a total collector area of 104 m², the high-performance collectors will be used to provide hot water for the XXL washing facility. A total of 624 high-performance vacuum tubes will produce warm water from the sun’s energy.
The significance of solar thermal energy for large projects like this is steadily increasing.
Already, the order books for the MEGA collector are well filled for next year.
Due to this increasing demand, the solar collector manufacturer is currently looking for another production hall in the greater Angermünde area to produce the MEGA collectors.
For the groundbreaking technology of the MEGA collector, AKOTEC received the Innovation Award Berlin-Brandenburg in 2019.
